Schedule
- Round One. (From March 16 until May 25).
Each week the teams will compete against each other starting with the quiz round on Sunday. The goal of each team is to complete each task and earn the most points. The players of the team with the most points on May 18 will advance to the second round.
If you are unable to attend the quiz portion you can still take part in the tournament.
- Round Two. ( Fall 2008).
In the second round players will be playing as individuals, instead of teams. The four players with the most points will pass to the final round.
- Final Round. ( Fall 2008).
During this round, the final four players will compete against each other, ending on a final quiz round.
Rules.
-Once you have picked what side you want to play on you cannot switch to the other side.
-If you advance to the next round you must confirm you want to continue by IMing Campetin Hoorenbeek or Samantha Kuncoro.
-If you want to participate, your avatar must have born before March 16. This is to prevent players from making more than one avatar.
Scoring.
- The points of each team will be updated and showed LIVE on the frontpage of the website.
- LOST Quiz Round.
-The questions that will be asked in the first round will be based on season four, for the second and final rounds however the questions will be from all four seasons.
-Each Sunday, there will be 15 questions: each correct answer will earn +15 points for the team. Answering the question wrong costs the team –8 points, also, if a wrong answer is given the question passes to the other team. They will be given the choice of whether or not to answer the question.
- The team that gets the most points on each quiz round will be given 108 aditional points +108 points.
- The counter of The Swan Station.
The counter of the hatch will play a big role on the game:
-Everytime you take a picture of the counter between -10 seconds left and -2 seconds left and send it to your supervisor, your team will win +23 points.
-Everytime you take a picture of the counter when there is one second left for the system failure, and send it to us, you will win +42 points for your team.
-Players of the same team of opposite teams can take pictures at the same time.
-BUT:
-Any time a supervisor sees a player in the hatch not typing the numbers when the alarm is sounding, the team will lose -23 points. If there are 2 or more players of the same group not typing the numbers, they will both make their team lose points. (1 person= -23, 2 people= -46, etc.).
-Every time a supervisor sees a player in The Swan not typing the numbers when there is a System Failure, their team will lose -108 points.
- The Armory Door.
-The door of the armory is locked. The code has something to do with season 4. It will always be a number. The first team to guess the code will find a note inside a box that has placed in the armory. That team will have to fallow the instructions on the note. Once they have followed all the instructions, the team will win +108 points.
- The code for the armory door will only be set three times per week, if you see the door left open then you know that the codes have been broken and that challenge is over for the week.
- We have also decided once you have broken the code you can not try again that week however to encourage you to work with your team mates you can help them by suggesting codes for them to try.
- Other objectives.
- Group photo: every week, your team will have to take a picture with as many members of the team as possible. The team with more members on its photo will win that week +108 points.
The photo must include the names and the tags of the team above the avatars. Later we explain how to do that.
- More missions may be added over the next weeks.
Prizes.
-First prize: A Lostie Avatar + 3000 lindens + Photo Session.
-Second prize: Dharma Suit + Lost T-shirts + Photo Session.
Tips.
- How to send a photo to our profile: go to search - people - and type the name of your supervisor. When you click on the name, drop the image on the profile.
- How to show the names and the tags on a photo: go to File - take snapshot - more - and activate "show interface in snapshot".
