Tags: Billy Smoke, Matthew FoxAfter kicking ass as Racer X in Speed Racer earlier this summer, Matthew Fox will go on to star in Billy Smoke, an adaptation of an upcoming comic being published by Oni Press.
The story focuses on an elite hitman who is nearly killed during a job and realizes that his only way to find redemption is to rid the world of all assassins. After the success of Wanted this weekend, it sounds like Hollywood is interested in even more hitmen and assassins. The comic book series will first be published in 2009 and is written by B. Clay Moore and illustrated by Eric Kim. No director or writer has been announced yet, but the film is being produced by Warner Brothers and Oni’s Eric Gitter.

Traditionally, the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences does not reveal its short list of the 20 shows under consideration for best drama and best comedy series nominations, which this year will be announced on July 17.
The list of 10 drama finalists includes one previous Emmy winner for best drama series, ABC’s castaway thriller “Lost,” and three other past nominees — ABC’s courtroom saga “Boston Legal” and two medical shows, the Fox hit “House” and ABC favorite “Grey’s Anatomy.”
The critically acclaimed but low-rated NBC series “Friday Night Lights” also made the cut, as did the serial killer drama “Dexter,” which appeared on both CBS and the cable network Showtime.
Rounding out the roster of drama finalists were four more cable shows — AMC’s new period piece “Mad Men,” the FX legal drama “Damages,” Showtime’s historical romp “The Tudors” and the final season of HBO’s “The Wire.”

Awards, Cast and Crew of Lost, Interviews View CommentsHere is a new article from E!Online:
Tags: interview, Malcom David Kelley, Saturn Awards, WaltOne of the (many) burning questions inspired by the Lost finale is, “To whom was Ben referring when he says that everyone has to go back to the Island?” Meaning, who, exactly, is everyone?
Does everyone include Ji-Yeon, who was conceived on the Island but never took a breath there? Does it include helicopter pilot Frank, who just stopped by for a three-hour tour? And perhaps most intriguingly, does it include Walt, who left “early,” and whose father has surely already paid the piper?
Now, I can’t tell you yet if Ben’s edict includes the babies, but I can tell you what Malcolm David Kelley thinks about Walt’s situation!
When asked at the 34th Annual Saturn Awards in Universal City, Calif., if he thought Walt had to go back with the rest of the gang, Malcolm said, “Yeah, I think I should go back to the Island and stir up a little trouble back there. I think that’d be pretty cool.” Agreed!
Has he talked to the writers about guesting, recurring or becoming a regular on either of the show’s final two seasons? Said Malcolm: “They haven’t told me anything right now, but if and when they tell me, I’ll go out to Hawaii and start working.”
In the meanwhile, between now and the return of Lost, hang in there to see Malcolm in a new film he’s very enthusiastic about. He said, “I just finished a movie in North Carolina called Mississippi Damned. It should be coming out some time next year, and it’s a drama taking place in the ’80s and ’90s. It’s a very good movie
